All this talk of alcohol in qns lately has got me thinking, and thirsty, so i thought I'd put this out there. What's your favorite cocktail or mixed drink? Is it a simple rum and Coke or do you prefer something a little fancier? What's the strangest combination you've ever heard of? Personally I'm a big margarita fan, but I also love creamy dessert drinks like mudslides or white Russians. Last month at the ACB convention I was introduced to the amazingness that is Coke and vanila vodka. So so good!! Same with cream-flavored vodka. And there are few things better than to end the night with a little kahlua and Bailey's. So how about you?
Wow, Kerri, you and I have similar taste in drinks. Margaritas are my top favorite. Mudslides or Kahlua and Bailey's is quite tasty. Long Island iced teas, or vodka mixed with either cranberry juice, orange juice, or lemonade. Maliboo rum and pineapple juice is extremely good.
I like Margaritas, Pina Coladas, and Long Island Ice Teas.
Long live the screwdriver! haha. I personally like to use grapefruit juice for mine instead of orange juice. I think the two flavors blend better. I also like White Russians, and basically any kind of fruity mixed drink. Long Island ice teas are kind of hit or miss for me. They seem to taste very different depending who's making them.
I love a good L.I.T. I'm also a Crown snob. I like to shoot it and then chase it with coke. Then of course there's Captain Morgan's Cocanut rum with coke or vanilla coke. Yum.
I'm not a huge vodka person, waaaaay too many hangovers from those in my college days, ya know, back when I used to mix it with anything that could fill a glass.
One of my faves, although I haven't done it in many many years, is the everclear jello shot. MMM!
I also like Baileys with coffee, and Mudslides.
I used to really like Fuzzy Navels. Buttery Nipples are good too. I pretty much just stick to Crown and Coke though these days, although I could be talked into a good margarita.
Dang, now I want a drink. Shame it's 12:46 in the pm.
You know, I've never actually tried fuzzy navels. I've heard they're good for someone not used to drinking. I've never tried jello shots either, come to think of it. I've never met a person who's tried them who had anything bad to say, so I'll definitely put those on my "to try" list. haha.
Yep, that's when I used to drink fuzzies, when I first started drinking, you know, before I turned 19 and all that. lol There are lots of ways to make jell-o shots. Usually people use either vodka or everclear. The only problem with everclear is the jell-o doesn't jell as firmly because of the alcohol content, I guess. Oh well, just makes'em easier to slirp out of the cup. hehehe.
I'm from Long Island and I've never had a Long Island ice tea. Blasphemy I know, but for the most part I haven't heard good things about them. Not a huge fan of shots of any kind either, unlike practically everyone else in my extended family. You can only imagine how crazy our Thanksgiving gatherings eventually get. Fuzzy navels sound good though, as do buttery nipples, though I've always felt a little weird about ordering one.
Felt weird about it because of the name? Try ordering this. A friend of mine was at a bar a couple weeks ago, and he told me that on the menu there was a drink called a "motherfucker." To be more specific, I believe the menu title was a, "screaming Blue Motherfucker."
And here me thinking that Bloody Mary and Sex in the Beach perhaps one of the weirdest name for cocktails... I don't often drink, maybe ones a year if any or less. Pina Colada must be one of my favourite when come to cocktail. However i do like to have coffee with shorts on it. Irish Coffee, yum

That reminds me of a bar we used to go to when my hubby was playing gigs. They had a drink called the Royal Fuck. I can't remember what it was but they were really good. lol
I love captain and diet coke. Probably is my favorite. I also like a good mudslide especially in the summertime If I'm just having shots its either jager or tequila..

I like Malaboo and coke, blue wickeds or as some call it wkd. That is Vodka and some orange juce or something like that. As for cocktails I like peachy drinks like peach snaps, sex on the beatch. I have tried french marteeny. Didn't like it.
I can't drink anymore for medical reasons, but when I could, I liked Long island iced tea. Alabama Slammers were okay too. Tried a drink called a screaming Orgasm, but I don't like amareto. The weirdest drink name I read somewhere was, "Screaming Multiple Orgasm Under the Boardwalk."
I recently went out to a fairly nice restaurant and tried a banana peach martini. Soooo good! I'm not entirely sure what was in it, but I know I would order it again. haha.
I usually go for the classics;Tom Collins, martini, vodka tonic, gin and tonic, or a Manhattan.
I usually go for a Sea Breeze: grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, vodka, and a lime. I'm very picky about drinks; they can't be sweet and they can't taste like pure alcohol, so I almost always have the same thing.
I like smoky martinis. Its vodka or gin, with vermouth and a shot of scotch. You can change the mixture to make it dry or sweet, depending on your taste. The scotch goes best with gin in my opinion.
Ol' stand-by Jack and coke here, though there aren't too many drinks I don't like.
Smoky martini sounds really good, seeing as I like Scotch and do not like sweet cocktails.
Mojitos
This summer I really liked the Lime-arita's by Bud Lite. They are not good right out of the can but on ice they are super yummy! Crown and coke is a big favorite of mine too.
FYI... if anyone ever offers you a Gorilla Fart, don't drink it! It taste like it sounds! Hahaha
Just tried a mojito for the first time on Saturday night. will definitely be ordering that again.
Another thing I really like is Jim Beam in a glass of code red Mountain Dew, or cherry coke.
